Project contributions (Research Project)
1. I proposed implementing windmills as a method to produce renewable energy for greenhouse operations. To assess feasibility, I conducted research through Google and consulted ChatGPT for additional insights.
2. Collaborated with the team in brainstorming sessions to evaluate individual research projects, ultimately deciding to focus on improving the Comcrop rooftop greenhouse.
3. Wrote the gap portion of the problem statement
4. Proposed the Apple Vision Pro as a possible research project the team can work on.
5. Help rework the gap portion of the problem statement, reworded it to connect with the ideal portion with regards on how Comcorp uses non-renewable energy from the standard electrical grid as well as recycled water from fish tanks.
6. Conducted research using Google and ChatGPT prompting the search engine/gAI “determine how to calculate the amount of condensate a Condensate Recovery System can collect”. This involved understanding the system's specifications and how environmental factors, particularly the operating climate, influence condensate collection. This knowledge was used to write up the "Maximising water reused" section under the benefits of the system. ChatGPT was used to refine the language.
7. Conducted research on how much water is needed to produce 1kg of lettuce hydroponically by looking at articles and research papers on Google & Google Scholar, used that information to calculate the potential amount of lettuce that can be produced with the amount of condensate recovered from the system(Point 6).
8. Conducted research by looking at Comcrop’s price of lettuce on Lazada through Google, took that value and used it to calculate the potential financial gain from the lettuce produced hydroponically(Point 7). With this information, I wrote the "Financial Gain from the system" under the benefits section.
9.Conducted extensive research on condensate recovery systems using various sources, including Google, ChatGPT, and Google Scholar. I explored the operational principles of the system and assessed its feasibility for implementation at ComCrop. Based on this research, I wrote the final draft of the background section of the project regarding condensate recovery systems, detailing how the system works and evaluating its potential for use in sustainable farming practices. ChatGPT was used to refine the language.
10. Contributed to the report by writing the 'Secondary Research' section, detailing the various sources and methods the team used to gather information that supported our analysis and findings.
11. Conducted research on the IntelliDose Controller by looking at HydroBuilder's website, looked at technical specification sheet of the device as well as prompted ChatGPT "What is a IntelliDose Controller" to write the final draft about the IntelliDose Controller under the background section of the report. ChatGPT was used to refine the language.
12. Used ChatGPT to arrange the report's references in alphabetical order.
